Ministry Chair: Ann Taylor
Meeting Time: 7:30pm on the second Tuesday of every month - held in the church office
Typical meeting includes: Meetings typically include a review of the monthly financial reports and a discussion of any trends or activities that could impact the budget. Meetings in September through December focus on the development of the upcoming year's budget.
Ministry's Mission: Our purpose is to watch and manage the financial activities of the church, keep the church council informed on how we are doing, and provide advice on situations that may affect the budget or the financial well-being of the church.
New members are always welcome... and we have opportunities to help in various ways:
Help is needed with spot audits. No need for a certified auditor or accountant, just someone who can double check our processes to ensure we are following our financial handling safeguards.
Help would also be welcome in shepherding small pieces of the budget. Every ministry and functional area of our church has a budget input and approved level of spending. Volunteers in this area would become familiar with a specific portion of the budget and shepherd that through the year by working as a liaison with its ministry.
